This is a killer fossil shark tooth. It is a Carcharocles megalodon shark tooth from Maryland. Megalodon teeth from Maryland are very scarce. This specimen came from a collection, and was found over 10 years ago. The quality of this tooth is very fine. The tip is intact and pointy, and the serrations are razor-sharp. The root is very solid and substantial. The enamel of the tooth is very nice and colorful. It is extremely difficult to get a 4" tooth from Maryland of this quality. This is a VERY collectible fossil shark tooth from the Calvert Cliffs area.
