This is a wonderful fossil Great White Shark tooth. It is a Carcharocles carcharias tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This species is the same type as today's modern Great White Shark, ''Jaws''. This tooth is quite large - almost maximum size for the species. It is one of the largest examples of this type that we have ever seen. The root is very solid and robust. The sharp serrations are beautifully displayed, and the very tip of the tooth is intact. The enamel is well preserved and has excellent antique ivory color. Both sides of the tooth are extremely nice. This is a very collectible ''true'' Great White Shark tooth from South America.
