This is simply a beautiful fossil shark tooth. It is a very cool Carcharocles megalodon (Extinct Giant White Shark) tooth from the Atacama Desert of Chile. We acquired this specimen in a collection, so we can't be 100% positive about the ID/locality. This tooth is wonderfully preserved and displays beautifully. The exquisite detail and striking natural color are extremely impressive. The enamel is practically flawless, and the serrations are intact and still sharp. Not only is this a colorful fossil shark tooth, there is no restoration to the fossil whatsoever. This is a fabulous Chilean Meg tooth that displays beautifully on both sides.
