Here is a very colorful, very large fossil shark tooth. This is a beautiful Carcharocles megalodon tooth found off the coast of North Carolina. This robust tooth has a very solid and substantial root, and the enamel of the tooth is mostly intact. The tooth has serrations present but they are quite worn. This tooth has fabulous natural color and is very thick and 3-dimensional. There is also a fossil coral preserved on the root of the tooth - the tooth was in the ocean long enough for an extremely detailed coral to grow on it! And at five inches long, it is a very impressive fossil tooth. This is a very collectible specimen of a fossilized shark tooth from the ancient version of ''Jaws''.
