This is a large (over four inches long) Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene River Deposits of South Carolina. The huge root of this wide tooth is very solid and substantial. The distinct serrations are large and quite sharp. The tooth has great form - the classic triangular shape of the tooth is quite evident. The colorful blue-grey enamel is well preserved and easily seen - what a beautiful tooth! This is a large, displayable Meg tooth from this ancient version of ''Jaws''.
