This is a very nice Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene of South Carolina. This tooth has a very solid and substantial root. The serrations along the sides of the tooth are very sharp and clearly defined. The glossy enamel is beautifully displayed on both sides of the tooth. This is a very attractive and impressive shark tooth from South Carolina - very nice for the price.
