This is a very nice, large Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene River Deposits of South Carolina. The huge root of this tooth is very solid and substantial. The tooth has great form - the classic triangular shape of the tooth is quite evident. The tip is wonderfully intact and pointed, and the serrations are almost fully intact and razor sharp. This is a very impressive, high quality tooth from this ancient version of ''Jaws''.
