Stock Number  STHEM313
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Hemipristis serra Teeth
Age:  Miocene
Formation:  Shoreline Deposits
Location:  Venice, Florida
Size:  Larger tooth is about 1.7 inches long

This is a very cool pair of fossil shark teeth. These are large Hemipristis serra teeth from Venice, Florida. This type of shark is called the ''Snaggletooth Shark'', for obvious reasons. The tooth on the left is a lower tooth, the one on the right is an upper. Both teeth are large and are very solid and substantial. The enamel on both teeth is beautifully preserved and has great natural coloration. Both sides of the teeth display well, and the serrations and tip are very easily seen on the upper tooth. This is a very nice pair of fossil Hemipristis teeth, upper and lower, from Venice Beach
