Size:  Tooth is 4 3/4 inches long

This is simply a beautiful fossil shark tooth. It is a large Carcharocles megalodon (Extinct Giant White Shark) tooth from Peru. This specimen is large and impressive - almost five inches long! The tooth is wonderfully preserved and displays beautifully. The exquisite detail and striking natural color are . The enamel is practically flawless and very glossy, with a mix of gray, brown and purple. The serrations are intact and razor sharp, and the tip is naturally worn from feeding. Not only is this a large, colorful fossil shark tooth, it is from a very unusual location. This is a fabulous Peruvian Meg tooth that displays beautifully on both sides.
