Stock Number  STSCM232
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Carcharocles megalodon Tooth
Age:  Miocene
Formation:  Hawthorne Formation
Location:  South Carolina
Size:  Tooth is 4.7 inches long

Here is a nice, large Meg shark tooth from the Miocene of South Carolina. The tooth has a very substantial root, and the enamel of the tooth has unusual, muted olive-grey coloration (white area is reflection in the photo, not on the tooth). The serrations are present, but are worn. The large tooth displays very well on both sides. This is an affordable large Carcharocles megalodon shark tooth from the Miocene Deposits of South Carolina.
