Large Serrated Megalodon Tooth from South Carolina

Size:  Tooth is 4.6 inches long

Here is a nice, large Meg shark tooth from the Miocene of South Carolina. The tooth has a very substantial root, and the enamel of the tooth has unusual, muted black coloration (white spot is reflection in the photo, not on the tooth. The serrations are present and well preserved. The large tooth displays very well on both sides. This is a very fine fossil Carcharocles megalodon shark tooth from the Miocene Deposits of South Carolina.
