This is a beautiful fossilized Great White Shark tooth. It is a distinct Carcharodon carcharias tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This species is the same type as today's modern Great White Shark. This specimen is very well preserved and exhibits very fine detail. The root of the tooth is quite solid and robust. The tip of the tooth is intact, and the SHARP serrations are easily seen. The enamel has gorgeous, natural coloration, and the back side still has some rock encased. This is an excellent example of a Great White Shark tooth fossil from South America.
