Here is a nice fossil shark tooth. This is a beautiful Otodus obliquus tooth from the Eocene of Morocco. This tooth is large - THREE inches long. The root of the tooth is extremely robust. The tooth has great enamel and both of the small cusps on the side of the tooth are intact. A chunk of the natural sandstone matrix is still embedded on the back side of the tooth. Both sides of the large tooth are well preserved and wonderfully displayed. This is an excellent example of an Extinct Mackerel shark tooth in matrix.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
