Here is a shark tooth from a site you probably do not have in your collection. This is an excellent Peripristis (Ctenoptychius) semicircularis Tooth shark tooth from the Pennsylvanian of Nebraska. This specimen came from an old collection and was collected MANY years ago. The tooth is extremely detailed - the white enamel and long root are very easily seen. The tooth has tiny serrations on the cutting edges - this is one of the first shark teeth in the fossil record with true serrations preserved! This is an extremely rare specimen of a complete Pennsylvanian shark tooth from Nebraska found decades ago.
