This is a great fossil shark tooth. It is a fine Isurus (Mako) tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This specimen is large and has very nice shape. The root is solid and substantial, and the enamel is very well preserved. The back side of the tooth still has a small amount of natural matrix still attached. This is a very fine specimen of a Mako Shark tooth from South America.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
