This is a very large (over six inches long!) Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene River Deposits of South Carolina. The huge root of this tooth is very solid and substantial. The tooth has great form - the classic triangular shape of the tooth is quite evident. There is some enamel missing from the tooth, but both sides of the tooth still display very well. This is a very impressive tooth from this ancient version of ''Jaws''.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
