This is a beautiful fossilized Great White Shark tooth. It is a very large Carcharodon carcharias tooth from the Pliocene of Peru. This species is the same type as today's modern Great White Shark. This wonderful specimen is very well preserved and exhibits fabulous detail. The root of the tooth is quite solid and robust, and the large, sharp serrations are very easily seen. The enamel has gorgeous, natural coloration - a sort of opalized blue color. This is a very large, striking example of a fossil Great White Shark tooth fossil from Peru.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
