Beautiful Mako Shark Tooth from Chile

Location:  Atacama Desert, Chile
Size:  Tooth is 2.1 inches long

This is a great fossil shark tooth. It is a fine Isurus (Mako) tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This specimen is large and has very nice shape. The root is solid and substantial, and the enamel is very well preserved. Both sides of the tooth display wonderfully. This is a very fine specimen of a Mako Shark tooth from South America.
