Name:
Carcharocles megalodon Tooth
Age: Miocene
Formation: Phosphate Beds
Location: Florida
Size: Tooth is 5.2 inches long
This is a very large specimen of a Carcharocles megalodon tooth from Florida. The tooth is well over five inches long and four inches wide - would be much longer if the tip were intact. This tooth has beautiful bluish enamel and near perfect serrations. The tooth has some cracks, but is still wonderfully preserved. Nice shark teeth from Florida are very hard to find, but ones this size are almost never found anymore.
