Great White Shark Tooth with Excellent Serrations
Stock Number  STCGW04

Name:   Carcharodon carcharias (Fossil Great White Tooth)
Age:  Miocene
Formation:  Huarra Formation
Location:  Atacama Desert, Chile
Size:  Tooth is almost 2.2 inches long

This is a beautiful fossilized Great White Shark tooth. It is a large Carcharodon carcharias tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This species is the same type as today's modern Great White Shark. This specimen is very well preserved and exhibits very fine detail. The root of the tooth is quite solid and robust. The tiny tip of the tooth is intact, and the razor sharp serrations are easily seen. The enamel has gorgeous, natural coloration, and both sides of the tooth display wonderfully. This is an excellent example of a Great White Shark tooth fossil from South America.
