This is an unusual fossil shark tooth. It is a large Carcharodon carcharias (Fossil Great White) tooth from the Atacama Desert of Chile. This tooth is naturally embedded in a large block of solid, pebbled sandstone - the tooth displays beautifully on its natural stone base. The tooth is three-dimensionally preserved, and the color and detail are exquisite. And the serrations and tip of the tooth are extremely sharp. Not only is this a large fossil Great White tooth, it is a sharply serrated tooth preserved in a solid block of rock. You can't get much more collectible than that!
