This is a very large (just a touch under six inches long!) Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene River Deposits of South Carolina. The huge root of this tooth is very solid and substantial. The tooth has great form - the classic triangular shape of the tooth is quite evident. The serrations are sharp, and the grey enamel is well preserved and easily seen. This is a very large, impressive tooth from this ancient version of ''Jaws''.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
