Nicely Polished Extinct White Shark Tooth
Stock Number  STSCM137

Name:   Carcharocles megalodon Tooth
Age:  Miocene
Formation:  River Deposits
Location:  South Carolina
Size:  Tooth is 4.6 inches long

This is a displayable Extinct White shark tooth from the Miocene of South Carolina. The root of the tooth is robust and heavy. The tip of the tooth is easily seen. The black enamel is well preserved and quite striking. The other side of the tooth is great - the middle part of the tooth has been polished for a better display, so both sides display very well. This is a very ''showy'' example of a large fossil shark tooth from the river deposits of South Carolina.
