This is a beautiful fossilized Great White Shark tooth. It is a very large Carcharodon carcharias tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This species is the same type as today's modern Great White Shark. This specimen is very well preserved and exhibits fabulous detail. The root of the tooth is quite solid and robust. The tiny tip of the tooth is intact, and the sharp serrations are very easily seen. The enamel has gorgeous, natural coloration. This is a huge, striking example of a fossil Great White Shark tooth fossil from South America, one of the largest we've had.
