Here is a very fine fossil shark tooth from South Carolina. This is a beautiful Carcharocles megalodon from the Miocene River Deposits. This colorful tooth has a very solid and substantial root, and the sharp serrations are easily seen on both sides of the tooth. The tip of the tooth is intact and exhibits almost no wear. This tooth also has fabulous natural color and is very thick and 3-dimensional. The shiny enamel is well preserved on both sides of the robust tooth. And at over four inches long, it is a very impressive fossil. This is a very collectible specimen of a fossilized shark tooth from the ancient version of ''Jaws''.
