This is a very pretty fossil shark tooth. It is a large Otodus obliquus tooth from the Eocene of Morocco. This tooth is encased in the large, natural sandstone block in which it was found. The tooth has great enamel, and both cusps are intact and beautifully displayed. The root of the tooth is also very solid and substantial. This is a very large example of this Extinct Mackerel shark tooth still embedded in its original matrix block.
