Here is a gorgeous fossil shark tooth. This is a beautiful Otodus obliquus tooth from the Eocene of Morocco. This tooth is huge - over three inches long! The root of the tooth is extremely robust and nicely detailed. The tooth has great enamel, and the tip of the tooth is quite sharp. Both of the distinct cusps on the side of the tooth are preserved. The other side of the large tooth is also well preserved and wonderfully displayed. This is an exceptional example of an Extinct Mackerel shark tooth.
