Large Hemipristis Tooth with Great Serrations

This is a beautiful fossil shark tooth. It is a Hemipristis serra (Snaggletooth Shark) tooth from Calvert Cliffs, Maryland. This specimen was acquired from an old collection. This tooth is large and has a very solid and substantial root. The enamel is beautifully preserved and has great natural coloration. Both sides of the tooth are very clean, and the serrations display wonderfully. This is a large fossil Hemipristis tooth from the upper jaw.
