Excellent Mako Tooth from Virginia

Here is a very nice Mako Shark tooth. This is an Isurus hastalis tooth from the Miocene of Virginia. This tooth is quite wide and has a very solid root. The enamel is beautifully preserved, and the sharp tip of the tooth is nicely showcased. Both sides of the tooth display well. This is a very fine example of a fossil Mako tooth from Virginia.
