This is simply a beautiful fossil shark tooth. It is a large Carcharocles megalodon (Extinct Giant White Shark) tooth from the Atacama Desert of Chile. This specimen is large and impressive - almost five inches long! The tooth is wonderfully preserved and displays beautifully. The exquisite detail and striking natural color are . The enamel is practically flawless, and the serrations and tip are intact and razor sharp. Not only is this a large, colorful fossil shark tooth, it is from a very unusual location. This is a fabulous Chilean Meg tooth that displays beautifully on both sides.
