This is an excellent shark tooth that we recently acquired from a major shark tooth collection. This is a Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Calvert Formation of Virginia. This tooth has a very solid and substantial root. The serrations and very tip of the tooth are well preserved and extremely sharp. The glossy enamel is intact and has beautiful natural coloration. Both sides of the large tooth display very well. This is an extremely collectible shark tooth from an unusual location.
