This is a very pretty Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene of South Carolina. This tooth has a very solid and substantial root. The serrations along the sides of the tooth are clearly defined. The greenish-grey enamel is beautifully displayed on both sides of the tooth. This is a very attractive shark tooth from the river deposits of South Carolina - very nice for the price.
