Here is a textbook fossil shark tooth. This is a beautiful Otodus obliquus tooth from the Eocene of Morocco. This tooth is complete and large for this type. The root of the tooth is extremely robust and nearly perfect. The tooth has great enamel and the tip of the tooth is quite sharp. Both of the large cusps on the side of the tooth are intact and display prominently. The natural coloration of the tooth is breathtaking - simply beautiful. Both sides of the large tooth are beautifully preserved and wonderfully displayed. This is a museum quality example of this Extinct Mackerel Shark tooth.
