Collector Quality Meg Tooth From Aurora
Stock Number  STNCM12

Name:   Carcharocles megalodon
Age:  Pliocene
Formation:  Yorktown Formation
Location:  Aurora, North Carolina
Size:  Tooth is 3.55 inches long

This is a beautiful tooth that we recently obtained from a major shark tooth collector. It is a Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the famous Yorktown Formation of North Carolina. Extinct giant white shark teeth from North Carolina are becoming very scarce, since public fossil collecting was curtailed a few years ago. This tooth is nearly perfectly preserved. The root is very solid and substantial. The shiny enamel has great color and displays wonderfully. The razor-sharp serrations are fully intact and the very tip of the tooth is also ''perfect''. This is a top quality shark tooth from the famous Lee Creek Mine.
