Large Mako Shark Tooth From Chile

Formation:  IV Region (Copiapo)
Location:  Atacama Desert, Chile
Size:  Tooth is 2.55 inches long

This is a great fossil shark tooth. It is an Isurus (Mako) tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This specimen is extremely large and has nice shape. The root is very solid and substantial, and the enamel is well preserved. Both sides of the tooth display wonderfully. This is a fine specimen of a Mako Shark tooth from South America.
