Carcharocles megalodon

This is a fabulous Extinct White shark tooth from the Miocene of South Carolina. The root of the tooth is very substantial and robust, and the enamel is beautifully preserved. The serrations are intact and sharp, and the very tip is even present - this is highly unusual. The other side of the tooth is just as nice - both sides display extremely well. This is a superb example of a five-inch-long Extinct White Shark tooth from South Carolina - one of the best we've had.
