This is a good fossil shark tooth. It is a Carcharocles megalodon shark tooth from Maryland. Megalodon teeth from Maryland are very scarce. This specimen came from a collection, and was found over 10 years ago. The tooth has great natural color. The serrations are nice, and the root is wide and solid. The tip is worn, but it doesn't detract from the overall look of the tooth. This is an affordable example of a fossil shark tooth from Maryland.
