Here is an extremely rare tooth from the first true white shark. This is a beautiful Paleocarcharodon orientalis tooth from the Paleocene of Morocco. The razor-sharp serrations are clearly defined and the very tip of the tooth is in excellent condition. The root is fully intact and wonderfully preserved. The orangish enamel of the tooth is quite striking. This is a great example of this "showy" fossil shark tooth.
