EXTINCTIONS Choice - 5 Foot Wide Shark Jaw!
Stock Number  FSJAW1
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Carcharocles megalodon Jaw with Real Fossil Teeth
Age:  Miocene
Formation:  St. Mary's River Deposits
Location:  St. Mary's River, Florida
Size:  Jaw is over 4 feet high and 5 feet wide

This is one of the most unique fossils you could ever hope to own. It is a five foot wide set of shark jaws from the extinct Giant White Shark, Carcharocles megalodon. These jaws are full of REAL fossil shark teeth, and were constructed by Dr. Clifford Jeremiah, renowned for his knowledge of fossil shark dentary structure. The jaws themselves were made of fiberglass resin - extreme care was taken to reproduce the actual shape of the jaws. Dr. Jeremiah then painstakingly chose 132 fully-serrated teeth that would most closely match the actual positioning of the teeth in the mouth of the ancient shark. There are three complete rows of teeth in the upper jaw, and three complete rows of teeth in the lower. Many of the teeth are over four inches long - there is even one tooth that measures 4 1/2 inches! And these teeth were found in FLORIDA, which is a rarity - most reconstructed Megalodon jaws use the more common South Carolina teeth.

The overwhelming size of this jaw can only be appreciated when viewed in association with a three-year-old boy (see photo #2). He is standing inside the jaws - with room to spare! This monster display specimen is perfect for a museum, aquarium, shopping mall, theme store, or just in your living room. At the ridiculously low price of under $9,000 , this works out to less than $68 per tooth, not counting the cost of the fiberglass jaw and what Dr. Jeremiah was paid to pick, sort, assemble, and implant the 132 teeth. This is an extremely affordable Megalodon jaw that is as impressive and awe-inspiring as any museum display.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
