This is a beautiful fossil shark tooth. It is an Isurus sp. (Mako) tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This specimen is large for a Mako - well over two inches long. The tooth has a very solid and substantial root. The enamel is beautifully preserved and has great natural coloration in shades of pink and blue. Both sides of the tooth are very ''clean'' and display wonderfully. This is an excellent fossil Mako tooth from the Chilean Desert.
