Beautifully Serrated Carcharocles megalodon Tooth

Name:   Carcharocles megalodon Tooth
Age:  Miocene
Formation:  River Deposits
Location:  South Carolina
Size:  Tooth is 3.6 inches long

This is an excellent Extinct White shark tooth from the Miocene of South Carolina. The root of the tooth is very clean and complete. The serrations are fabulous (see the second photo close-up for details). Both sides of the tooth immaculate - practically flawless. This is a superb example of an Extinct White Shark tooth from the East Coast of the United States.
