Large Shark Tooth With Fine Preservation
Stock Number  STSCM21

Name:   Carcharocles megalodon
Age:  Miocene
Formation:  River Deposits
Location:  South Carolina
Size:  Tooth is 4.2 inches long.

Here is a large Extinct White shark tooth from the River Deposits of South Carolina. This Carcharocles megalodon tooth is from the Miocene. The root of the tooth is very solid and substantial. The shiny, black enamel is wonderfully preserved. The sharp serrations are nicely exhibited and the tip of the tooth is in good condition. The other side of the tooth is just as nice - both sides of the tooth display very well. This is a very fine example of a large Carcharocles megalodon tooth.
