Large Carcharocles auriculatus Tooth With Great Color

Size:  Tooth is 3.7 inches long.

This is a large tooth of Carcharocles auriculatus from South Carolina. This shark was the first in the line of sharks that evolved into Carcharocles megalodon. This specimen has the large cusps well preserved. The tooth has a beautiful, orangish-brown color. The serrations are very noticeable and the tip is very nice. This is a fine specimen of a Carcharocles auriculatus tooth.
