Large Mako Shark Tooth from Maryland

Location:  Chesapeake Bay, Maryland
Size:  Tooth is 2.2 inches long

This is a nice fossil shark tooth from Maryland. It is a large Isurus hastalis, or fossil Mako tooth. This specimen was found over 10 years ago. The tooth has nice natural coloration and good detail. The root is large and fully intact. This is a very fine fossil Mako tooth from a classic site.
