This is an unusual fossil. It is a shark egg capsule from the Pennsylvanian of Missouri. The fossil is preserved in a siderite concretion. Both halves of the concretion are present. The fossil has good color and contrast. There is also a small leaf present in the concretion. This is a fine specimen of an unusual fossil. No shark collection is complete without a shark egg case.
