This is a very large (almost SIX inches long!) Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene River Deposits of South Carolina. The huge root of this tooth is very solid and substantial. This wide tooth has great form - the classic triangular shape of the tooth is quite evident. The tooth is so large, the serrations near the root are wrinkled! This is a very large, impressive tooth from this ancient version of ''Jaws''.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
