Here is a top quality fossil shark tooth from South Carolina. This is a large Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene Hawthorn Formation. This beautiful tooth was acquired from a major fossil collection - one look and you can easily tell. The tooth has a very solid, nearly perfect root, and the enamel is very colorful and beautifully preserved on both sides of the tooth. The long tooth exhibits VERY sharp, well-defined serrations and a fabulous, pointed tip - both the serrations and tip are also nearly perfect and extremely sharp. Inch for inch, this is one of the best ''Meg'' teeth we've ever had. It is an extremely collectible tooth from the ancient version of ''Jaws''.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
