Here is a striking Mako Shark tooth. This is an Isurus hastalis tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This very fine tooth is quite long and has a very solid root. The enamel is beautifully preserved, and the tip of the tooth is sharp and nicely showcased. The off-white enamel is almost iridescent in nature. This is an excellent example of a fossil Mako tooth from the Southern Hemisphere.
