Here is a large example of a classic fossil shark tooth. This is a Hemipristis serrata tooth from the Miocene of Florida. This type of shark is called the "Snaggle-Toothed Shark", for good reason. This specimen has a very solid and substantial root, and the coarse serrations are easily seen. The tooth has excellent color, and both sides of the tooth display beautifully. This is a very nice, large example of this uncommon tooth from Florida.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
