This is a great fossil shark tooth. It is a fine Isurus (Mako) tooth from the Pliocene of PERU. This specimen is large and has very nice shape. The root is solid and substantial, and the enamel is very well preserved. The back side of the tooth displays as well as the front. This is a very striking specimen of a Mako Shark tooth from South America.
